Filling out March Madness Brackets is an extremely popular type of March Madness pool. Below you will find bracket predictions for the 2010 March Madness College Basketball Tournament from at least five of the experts that write for this March Madness Predictions website.
For those who aren't familiar with March Madness Bracket we will provide a quick explanation of how they work. Basically in the March Madness basketball tournament there are 64 teams who are playing for a chance to be crowned NCAA College Basketball National Champion. After the play-in game the 64 teams are divided into four different groups of 16 teams. These 16 teams in each group are ranked from 1 to 16, where to start the tournament the 1st ranked plays the 16th, 2nd plays the 15th, etc. These match ups are listed at the start of each March Madness Bracket. If the team wins they will move forward in the bracket, and if they lose they are done for good. The teams that are winning will continue to move forward in the bracket until there is only two teams that meet in the National Championship to see who is crowned champion.
The idea of almost all March Madness Bracket Pools is to predict how the bracket will play out over the course of the tournament. It is nearly impossible to be able to predict the bracket completely perfect because of the amount of games that are played throughout the tournament. Points are awarded for each correct prediction you make. In most bracket prediction pools the points awarded for a correct prediction is increased the further along the tournament is in the bracket.
