Michigan State March Madness Predictions
Article Updated March 14th, 2010
The Spartans, led by head coach Tom Izzo, will look to return to the final four for a second straight year at this year’s NCAA Tournament in Indianapolis. The Spartans were knocked off in the Big Ten tournament Friday by Minnesota, who eventually lost in the Big Ten championship game to Ohio State, but still finished the season with a pretty solid 24-8 overall record. Michigan State is projected to be named a #4 or #5 seed, and will need to use their depth and experience to carry them deep into this year’s March Madness.
Michigan State Spartans Tournament Prediction
The Michigan State Spartans have made 22 NCAA Tournament appearances, and will be making their 13th straight appearance this March. The Spartans have made it to the Final Four seven times, and have won 2 Championships, most recently in 2000. Current head coach, Tom Izzo has taken this team to five of those seven Final Four appearances and won the National Championship in 2000. All of the starters played in the Finals last year and know what it takes to advance in this tournament. Look for the Spartans to make it into the Sweet Sixteen this year, with a shot of winning that game to play in the Elite Eight round.
